Explore Snowdon and the National Park, take a trip on one of the steam railways, visit a slate mine, go horse riding along the estuary or beach, bird watch on the river shores or visit the RSPB centre, energise yourself on the local cycle tracks ( or Coed y Brennan mountain trails nearby), try fishing in the many lakes and rivers ( permits needed) or enjoy the seaside with a boat trip, canoeing or crabbing off the harbour wall or the fun fair at Barmouth with donkey rides and trampolines or have a game of tennis in Dolgellau or drive further afield to any of the themed attractions , Harlech and Criccieth castles , Port Merion or go along the Llyn Peninsula and at the end of full day, wine and dine at any of the many restaurants and pubs in Dolgellau (4 miles )or Barmouth (7 miles ) or walk across the toll bridge to The George 111 and leave the car behind!
